LEAD: Leadership Education and Development Fellowship 2022-23

Bradley Cleveland Public Education Foundation

LEAD, acronym for Leadership: Education and Development, is a professional development program designed to foster, cultivate, and build school leadership in Bradley County and Cleveland City Schools. In collaboration with the Directors of Schools, BCPEF will oversee and host this year-long professional development program designed for emerging school leaders to develop skills and knowledge in school leadership that creates exceptional leaders who transform schools.

All agree “the single biggest way to impact an organization is to focus on leadership development. There is almost no limit to the potential of an organization that recruits good people, raises them up as leaders and continually develops them.”- Maxwell.

Therefore, every school leader needs skills and support to ensure they not only succeed but excel and thrive to provide their very best. They are the catalyst that determines parent and community involvement and even the mental and physical climate of students and staff.Bradley County and Cleveland City Schools desire to prepare educators proactively and strategically for this challenge.

Participants attend monthly learning modules designed to cover topics essential to school leadership success. Participants will engage in school visits for firsthand observation of the leadership process. Leadership projects and presentations will require application of learned content and skill development. The Leadership Initiative is intended to help educators develop skills and understanding to become future leaders.
