Gifts, Grants and Gratitude Celebration
Attendees celebrated grants awarded, accomplishments by teachers and the generosity of donors at this annual celebration luncheon held at the Museum Center at 5ive Points on April 8th.

The annual program of celebration featured performances by “Revolution” of Lake Forest Middle School, the students of Walker Valley High School and The Cleveland High School Blue Jazz Band.

The impact of charitable gifts supporting innovative academic initiatives was clearly evident in presentations by teachers from Goal Academy, North Lee Elementary School, Walker Valley High School, Blythe-Bower Elementary School and Cleveland High School.

During the 2015-16 academic school year, 31 Teacher Grants were awarded to 20 schools, touching 75 innovative teachers and 12,000 students.  Additionally, major grants from The Tucker Foundation, The Hurt Fund, The Leonore Annenberg School Fund for Children, United Way Healthy Initiatives Fund, and contributions from numerous private individuals and family foundations supported academic projects, furthering the reach of BCPEF.  This generosity ultimately touched the lives of nearly every student in Cleveland City and Bradley County Public Schools.

The luncheon was served by Culinary Arts students from Bradley Central High School under the tutelage of Chef Lemont Johnson and from Cleveland High School with Chef Clyde Rush.
1st Tennessee Foundation was recognized and thanked for sponsoring the annual celebration for the 7th consecutive year.
